Facebook announced a design update to their Business Pages product. You can join the wait list, via an invitation link that can be found on each page’s timeline view. All Facebook pages will be automatically migrated to the updated design, on March 27th, 2014.
Every time Facebook updates their Business Pages platform a barrage of objections and complaints are broadcast over all social media platforms. People you don’t own your Facebook page, you get that right? This echoes the need to have something you own, something you built outside of your social platforms. You should use your social profiles to compliment what you’re doing on your own websites and blogs. Facebook could discontinue Business Pages tomorrow and where would that leave your business if you didn’t have a platform that you own.
Check out this short video I made showing the changes coming to your Facebook Business Page.

Great Video, Tim. I particularly liked the idea that Facebook owns your page, not you. In any other kind of marketing campaign, you have to deal with that Avenue’s changes in the way they do business. This shows how many beginners are trying to ‘make a million’ online, without knowing the rules of the game.
Well said Sam, still working on that million myself LOL – thanks for stopping by.
Have you seen any changes in traffic following these changes, Tim? I know it has only just happened, but I was interested in any negatives you have seen immediately.
Hey Rick, actually well before the changes I have noticed a huge drop in traffic and how my posts on FB are seen – less then 10% see the posts – it’s a Pay to Play platform now for sure.
