Green Marketing Strategies to Help Your Business Succeed

December 13, 2014 By Tim Somers Leave a Comment

To get something, you need to give something as well. Therefore, if you want to succeed in your work and to be a respected business owner, you need to make sure that you are giving something back as well. Green marketing strategies have become very popular, and they have for a good reason. Since the drastic pollution in our world is becoming bigger and bigger problem today, the clients and the customers have begun to be very respective of the businesses that have green strategies. Here are some of the ideas that you can use to make your business greener and more successful at the same time.

Eco Friendly Promotional Products

Green Card instead of the Business Card
There are many ways in which you can escape the option of cutting down trees just to give people your business card. To avoid this and to cut the costs and the hurtful printing, paper waste and the like, make sure that you have the ways to give out your business cards in other ways. First of those ways is to have them in MMS form and send them out to people that you want and the second one is to use an app like Green Card. You can share your details and your virtual card with others. The best part is, when you and if you change the details, the Green Card updates those details for everybody that you have given your card to. This is far more effective than the original paper cards that people misplace and that can become outdated and contain old info that is not relevant anymore.

QR Codes
You can make QR code for anything and everything and you can also make sure that you distribute it through the channels that are not paper trails. Every smartphone today can download a QR reading app for free. This means that you can make a quick link to your site, digital business card or anything else that you want to present your business with and turn it into a QR code that will not use prints, paper and other things that jeopardize the environment. Therefore, make sure that you do this as making a QR code is free online and it is done in a couple of minutes.

Host an Event
To establish yourself as a green business, you need to make sure that people know about your actions in this direction. This means that you should announce yourself in this way without seeming too pushy and without making it look only as a marketing trick. To do this, the best way is to start locally and make sure that the neighborhood notices you. Host an even or start an action that has a green mark on it and sponsor it in your neighborhood. This can be guerilla planting action, marathon of some kind or something similar. Make sure that you are connected and associated with these types of things and not just as some faceless business. You can have custom branded giveaways that are actually useful to people at these events.

Replace all Printed Ads
The time of printed ads is long gone for a business that wants to be ecofriendly. Even if you want some visible ads that will be in real life rather than online, you should hire a sandwich man to walk with the board for a couple of days, rather than giving away the leaflets that waste paper or posters that waste paper, waste ink and they are almost always on trees or torn to pieces and thrown on the ground. In general, the majority of the today’s communication is online, so your ads should be there as well. Not only that this way is greener, but it is far more effective today. Learn all there is to know about the SEO and make a marketing boom without hurting the environment.

Going green when it comes to business is much more than a marketing trick. This is a stand that every respectful and caring business has to take if they want to be something more than just a faceless and soulless corporation. With a little bit of planning, this doesn’t have to be expensive or difficult.

I am so happy with my pens and business cards. I was like a kid in a candy store when I saw my pens (pink no doubt). My business cards are amazing - I finally got official cards with my logo, no more generic cards (they served their purpose). Tracy Hill was my representative and she is the absolute BEST! She helped me with ideas for an upcoming event and ensured everything would arrive on time for event.

Thank you Tracy for helping me with our health fair. The Large insulated bags were a hit and are of very high quality. The pin wheels with our name on the handle were a hit as well with the children and the parents.
