Marketing your business is one of the hardest things you have to do as a business owner. There are many different techniques and strategies that make the entire process overwhelming. Many marketers end up being so confused they do not do any marketing. I asked a couple of successful business owners to share proven marketing strategies that have worked for them.

The power of networking – getting in front of people and telling them what I do face to face works wonders for me. People can hear my work on my website and not realize how something similar can benefit them, but once I meet them, get to know them a little and tell them about multimedia messaging, they get hooked. I’ve also had success approaching business people by saying, “I called after hours and listened to your phone message….” or “I noticed you redesigned your website, but you don’t have a professionally-recorded audio tour on the homepage to tell your customers how things have been rearranged.” John Zadikian, Multimedia Communication

We have had success with a couple of strategies for new business in the past 17 years. The number one new business generator for us is networking groups and associations. We participate, get involved, attend meetings and help our fellow members any way we can and somehow we always end up with a new referral or new business partner.
We also consistently market our business just like we do for our clients. We have a yearly marketing plan and a monthly action plan that we follow consistently promoting what we do in posts, blogs, press releases, advertising campaigns, networking groups and anything else we can think of every week. I have been having great success with the chamber connections networking group combined with Google ads. I have been spending about $150 a month on them but the number of new leads it generates is great! Other physical things that I have been doing is simply leaving my business cards at gas pumps wherever I fill up and leaving my pens at the bank when I make deposits. Tom Lawrence, PC Pick Up

Referrals have been a huge part of our 23 year success. Getting referrals simply requires a few key points. 1. Give referrals – if you give without expecting them in return they will come naturally because those you give them too will feel obligated to return the favor so to speak. 2. Over Deliver – if you over deliver to your clients they will tell the world about you and the referrals will flow in. 3. Get Out And Network – attending networking events his key, meeting people face to face and building a relationship is worth its weight in gold.
I have also been very active in the Social Media circle – using Facebook Ad’s to promote my business as well as providing helpful tips has been a great source of staying in front of clients and prospects. Tim Somers, Bizarre Marketing
These are some great marketing tips that I hope you take advantage of and start using one or all of them.
To Your Success!
