So I just got back from a networking event, I love these events they have been great for my business. But at every single one of the networking events I have attended over the years I continue to see people that just don’t get it. When you are at a networking event you are not there to sell, let me say it again, when you are at a networking event you are NOT there to sell. Do not be a puker! What’s a puker you ask? A puker is someone you meet for the first time and they spew out all kinds of stuff about them and the product or service they want you to buy right then and there.
It’s a huge turn off – nobody wants to be sold. So stop puking at networking events. You need to be interested in those you are talking to, listen to their needs; there issues make it about them not about you. Network this way and you will get more business and referrals then you’ll know what to do with.

Thank you so much! This is definitely an great web site!
People forget how much they can learn by listening to other people. These are basic Marketing tips, but they need to be repeated to make sure that everyone gets the idea. Thanks, Tim.
Thanks Mio, listening is key – thanks for stopping by.
A good way to act would be as a Real estate agent does at an initial meeting: Find out what the Prospect wants, before you start telling them about your properties.
Before you find out that he isn’t ready to move, and therefore waste your time showing him all the properties that you have, you can offer him free information that will make him trust you for when he does want to move!
Well said Kevin, listening to your prospects needs is huge. Thanks for stopping by.
These are really enormous ideas in regarding blogging.
