Tim Somers 0:02
All right, good morning, everybody. This is Tim with bizarre marketing. And here we are with another virtual marketing networking group. And basically what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna go around like old school networking and give everybody usually do a 60 second. But I think we only have a few people on here, maybe we’ll do two minutes. And that’ll still give everybody enough time to move out their day. We’ll go around and let everybody have a couple of minutes to tell about their business. We’ll link up everybody’s connection information in the video as well. It’ll be on YouTube, it’ll be shared all the social media platforms. So with that said, we’re going to get started and I I’m kind of partial to the ladies so I’m just gonna go around ladies first and I see Heather’s on the screen to my left. So Heather, the floor is yours.
Heather Grybel 0:43
Oh, fantastic. Good morning.
Heather Grybel 0:48
I am Heather Gribble. I am with the Trenton trib Island beacon newspaper. If you are unfamiliar with the newspaper we are monthly and we are free for pickup at over 210 local Throughout the downriver area, so it is an exciting time as this has blossomed our creativity to make sure our paper still gets out there for people to read. So we are still set to deliver, we’re just going to deliver a little differently in April.
Heather Grybel 1:21
As many of you know, a lot of locations, you know, you don’t want to go to the hospital so we’re not going to deliver there.
Heather Grybel 1:29
We are going to get it out in other ways. So it is exciting. You still need to advertise you still need to be out in front of your client and we are here to help you connect with the community that you serve. So I’m Heather with the Trenton Trib newspaper and we are bringing you good news. Thanks, Heather. Awesome.
Tim Somers 1:52
All right. So Megan, you’re on
Megan Rokey 1:55
the floor. Sure. So first of all, I just have to say this has all been totally weird. My employer now wants me to make videos for all of our pages in that. And so I’m really thankful for you guys being here today. My name is Megan Rokey. I work for national homecare. We’re a Medicare accredited skin, skilled home health care agency and we also have a private duty program. We also work with vets. This has been really challenging for me because I typically call on hospitals and skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes and obviously I can’t do that right now. So I’m trying to, you know, find new and creative ways to reach people and for us to stay connected. We are fully operational, we are considered essential workers with home care and home health. And so we have nurses, therapists, caregivers and office staff working remotely as a team to get people seen. I’ve also been calling on all of our current and former patients to make sure they have everything they need and have had to thankful to report that most of them have family helping them but a few I’ve connected with some community resources Like Meals on Wheels. So but yeah, we are operational 24 hours a day seven days a week. If you know anybody that’s homebound that could benefit from a visiting nurse so they don’t have to get out in the community if their health compromised. Those are the people I can help and I’d like to so call me anytime if you can think of anyone that needs me. So thanks for being here and I look forward to seeing what you guys have to say.
Tim Somers 3:23
Awesome. Thanks so much Megan. I’m just
Tim Somers 3:26
gonna go I don’t think there’s any other ladies it’s just so all the fellows now so I’m just gonna go left to right and in no particular order. But Mark, you’re up a few take the floor sir.
Mark Henderson 3:36
Hey, good morning, everybody. Mark Henderson here with the Henderson realty team that’s been going on with this coronavirus and keep popping up on here. Sorry about that. So this morning I got on the MLS and checked we only had six new homes listed today on the MLS. So I’m watching the down river area basically is from Detroit down to the Monroe border from 94 all the way to the to the lake erie and Grosse Ile. So what’s been going on? And everyone’s saying that what is going to be a housing crash? Well, not really. We got a little hiccup. It’s a correction right now. For us to get just back to normal level playing field inventory would have to triple where it’s at right now. Before we got into this mess, with coronavirus, we were still at 2.1 2.2 2.3 months of inventory of houses on the market. And you’d have to triple to get to a level playing field where we’re not fighting for every single offer going in. So everyone’s worried about the housing. It’s a little bit of a hiccup. Hopefully when we come back out of this, we’re gonna have some more inventory to look at. I am on the phone with my current clients that haven’t had a chance to purchase a home yet. They’re all ready to hit the road once this is over. I’ve talked to two new classes In the last day, so they’re waiting for their time to get through this because I’m allowed I’m not allowed to take them to show any houses. I can’t even go to the inspections or the closings, I have to do everything via via phone, but we’re staying on top of everything. I have two possible new listings going to hit the market probably in the next month working with right now and hopefully we have some better news and we come out of this and the housing markets still going to be very strong when we get out. So you know anybody looking to buy or sell, please keep us in mind. We are very, very busy. We’re going to be okay, we got eight deals in the hopper waiting to close so we’re gonna do we’re gonna come out of here. Okay. So, Hey, Mark Henderson with the Henderson realty team. We are moving Michigan. Let our team work for you.
Tim Somers 5:49
Awesome. Well, thanks mark. That was great. So next up I see Mr. Brett Chittum there take the floor sir.
Brett Chittum 5:56
Already on me myself Brett Chittum consulting them I am during this time it’s been interesting with the consulting aspects of it my largest client who I’ve also partnered with is Lawrence technology services and right now I’m in his office because he’s an essential service and in for you you guys that are being you know faced with and working from home for the first time if you are it’s it’s an interesting time because Are you secure Are you not secure and yesterday was probably one of our busier days because that was the first day of the stay at home order. And and we had a lot of people calling up but you know, when you when you think about what can be done in business, you know, I think about in my echo my consulting hat back on, and there’s a lot of things we can do, we can actually start to build powerful relationships through what we’re doing virtually here, more powerful than ever before, then when, when this all shakes out. You’re gonna just be so much more better and more successful in what you’re doing. So, Brett Chittum with Chittum consulting, I plug Lawrence technical The services because he’s one of my big clients right now, and I’m doing a lot of work for him. And thanks, Tim, for getting this all set up.
Tim Somers 7:06
Awesome. Thanks, Brett. That’s awesome. So next up as Nick Baker, it is your turn, sir.
Nick Bader 7:14
Hey, everybody, obviously insurance Nick here from Lakeman Insurance Agency. I have to plug Lawrence systems as well, they, they keep me protected at home. We took our agency remote on last Tuesday, actually. So we’re working about a week now that we’ve been on the road or took the show on the road. And it’s been a wonderful experience for us at this point. So again, insurance, we take care of your auto your home boat, motorcycle life business insurance during this period of time, and this is a trying time for a lot of individuals. But let’s couple that notes make it a little bit more confusing because insurance isn’t confusing as it is right. We’re going to go ahead and get everything prepared for a law change. That hasn’t changed since 1973. And that’s coming up starting July 2. So if anybody has a policy that they have questions, and especially at the senior level, there are some major changes that have actually will impact them. They’re going to need to find a resource, a trusted resource and an agency. It’s been around for a long time, they can at least guide them and navigate them through those different waters, so to speak, and we want to be that person for them. So again, insurance Nick from Lademan Insurance Agency. We just do what’s right for you.
Tim Somers 8:30
Awesome, thanks, Nick. All right, Greg, Tittle you are up, sir.
Greg Tittle 8:36
Hey, everybody,
Greg Tittle 8:38
Greg tittle tittle brothers construction, one of the top leading remodeling companies in Southeast Michigan, we’re one of only 12 Platinum certified roofing contractors. So we’re very proud of, you know, just proven that we’re the best not just saying were the best so kind of very trying times for us for some of my life I’ve ever worked. work from home. So this is kind of weird for me. But, you know, I’m adjusting. It’s it’s kind of the rules and laws, the way it was written that the stay at home orders for the construction industry was very
Greg Tittle 9:12
confusing and very,
Greg Tittle 9:15
you know, it’s really almost is how you interpret it. So essential workers so what we have did is taken all the guesswork out of it and really the only thing we’re working on right now is if a roofs leaking, and it has to be repaired, obviously we have to get out take care of that right now. Otherwise, everything else is on hold. And we’re in great shape. Thank God, we were in a position where we’re in and we’re going to survive this we’re going to come out stronger than ever. I truly believe there’s going to be a lot of pent up demand. Once all this blows over. And yeah, so we’re we’re all working from home. Again, kind of weird run a construction company from your house. I’ve never did that. But here we are. So, uh, but yeah, Tittle brothers construction. We Oh, we’re also very excited. We have a new low. It’s kind of stopped now but we have a new location popping up. Right there the old powerhouse gym and Brownstown. So we’re pretty excited about that as well.
Tim Somers 10:18
Awesome. Thanks, Greg. Yeah, just by there, I seen that. It’s gonna be a great spot for you. Looks like great parking compared to where you’re at now. So. All right, and looks like Next one is Evan. I know we’ve been connected for a long time, Evan, and I don’t want to mess up your last name. So I was like, you have the floor, sir.
Evan Raoof 10:33
Can everybody hear me? Okay? Yes, yes. Okay, good. My name is Evan Raoof. I I’ve met Tim through Facebook. And I think Nick and I met at a BNI meeting a few years ago. I’m a fitness professional. I actually run a Fit living Academy in Canton, Michigan. So it will be further than everybody else. I consider myself essential right now. I’ve been doing this for about 15 years really helping people find fitness and take the period of exercise. And it’s amazing to me right now he’s like, I know we’re on this trying time and the gyms closed, you know, my business hasn’t closed because I’ve been trying for a few years to put my business online virtually. So I’m most of my clients are training in home through zoom conferencing and I’m, you know, it’s the opportunity is you know, we have to really work on booster immune system, getting exercise and getting fit. And then also to right now is the mindset factor. Really, that’s what I really help people help people find fitness and take the fear out of it. Because I truly believe if you find it, you’ll find out what’s more, what’s missing your life if you take it on, and no more than right now is we have to take it on because we are. I’m a little nervous, you know, but with that nervous, tremendous opportunity for us and I’m very excited about that. And I’m looking to be available for anybody to be wants to talk or get educated on things they can do at home and get started and the work order, the stay at home order, what they did say is you’re allowed to go out and walk in, and exercise. So that’s a good thing. We have to look at ways to be able to help each other and support each other and connect each other. I help people train for the performance of their life. It’s really great to meet everybody. Thank you.
Tim Somers 12:28
Awesome, thanks. That’s great. Well, I guess I think that’s everybody. I think I’m last on the list here. So I’ll give you my quick little spiel. So Tim, from bizarre marketing, I’ve been fortunate enough to be in business 30 years and the last 10 years I’ve worked at home so this is business as usual for me. But it’s one of those things I do still go out and see clients which can’t really do that and do networking. So it’s a great opportunity for us to all connect. As far as my business goes. I have about 3000 different vendors that do all the promotional products. Some of them are falling off. Because of their states are making them close up, but I can still get that stuff. I just realized no one’s really wanting that stuff right now. And the other aspect is I do the social media marketing for clients. So I had a few clients pull the plug because their business is pretty much shut down while other ones have amped up their Facebook spend and their Instagram spend so it’s kind of a you know, teeter totter on what type of business you are. Um, but I will say that you look back at 2008 the people that survived were the ones that started you know, pushing more marketing and doing more to really, you know, take advantage of all the the tools and the free stuff that’s out there. But I don’t know if this has been helpful for you guys. This is the second one we did. And this is last time we had three people and we’ve got five extra so there was actually two more people that registered they didn’t make it on but I think this is a great, great tool. The last video had over a couple hundred views on it on YouTube alone and about five or 600 on Facebook. So, just a little help for us I’ll, I’ll get it posted later today and share all your contact info and I appreciate everybody being here and by stay safe and loss that one of these up for next week and you can make it that’d be great
